On October 14–16, 2025, a three-day conference was held in Utrecht, Kingdom of the Netherlands, organized by the International Society for Animal Health, Economics and Social Sciences.

The aim of the conference was to place particular emphasis on the impact of the multiple burden of animal diseases and to incorporate it into the decision-making process related to animal health.

Among the participants were the Director of the Scientific Center, Tigran Markosyan; staff members of the Microbiology Department, Mariam Militosyan and Lilit Hovsepyan; as well as Hovhannes Mkrtchyan, a representative of the “Agricultural Services Center” SNCO of the RA Ministry of Economy.

During the conference, in a poster session, the participants presented a poster on the topic: “Reassessment of the Economic and Public Health Burden of West Nile Fever in Armenia: Implications for Surveillance of Horses and Birds.”
