On September 9–10, 2025, the 4th Consultative Meeting of the Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Network in the fields of agriculture and food safety for the countries of Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The Scientific Center for Risk Assessment and Analysis in the Field of Food Safety of the RA Ministry of Economy also participated in the meeting as a member organization of the laboratory network, represented by its Director, Tigran Markosyan.

During the consultation, issues related to combating antimicrobial resistance were discussed, including the role of a coordinated interdisciplinary approach in the fields of food safety and agriculture, the activities of the regional laboratory network on antimicrobial resistance in food and agriculture across the region, as well as joint efforts aimed at reducing antimicrobial resistance.

The topics discussed are highly relevant to modern public health, sanitary-epidemiological, and veterinary surveillance, and are of great interest to a wide range of professionals working in this field.
