Employees of the Scientific Center, Varduhi Hakobyan and Hasmik Elbakyan, participated on October 21–23, 2025, in an international conference organized by the Global Foot-and-Mouth Disease Research Alliance (GFRA).

The GFRA biennial scientific meeting brings together leading experts from around the world to present and discuss the latest scientific achievements and progress in the prevention, control, impact, and eradication of foot-and-mouth disease.

Our center’s specialists had the opportunity to take part in discussions and working sessions moderated by international experts, which contributed to the development of their professional skills and scientific capacities.

They also met with representatives of partner countries in the region (Georgia, Turkey) to discuss current issues and challenges in the control of foot-and-mouth disease.

Their participation contributed to strengthening the center’s international cooperation and to the exchange of experience in the field of foot-and-mouth disease control.
